Importing and Viewing Data
Data analysis from Avantage can be started using the data grid option, opened on the left hand side panel.
Data grid can be opened using the toolbar, as seen in the previous section. This toolbar may be found on the left hand side of the software. If it is not visible, you can open it using ‘View > Panels and Toolbars > Toolbar’.

To open data from a recorded experiment open in the current experiment pane, drag and drop the experiment files from the left hand pane into the data grid. You can drag and drop individual spectra, or you can drag and drop an entire group of data into a batch of data grids.

You can also drag and drop directly from windows file explorer, either as a single file or again, by selecting multiple datafiles and importing all of them at once.

Data can also be imported into a data grid using the ‘File > Import’ option.

Data can also be imported into a data grid using the ‘File > Import’ option.

Dragging and dropping files to the tab container above the data viewer allows you to create a new data grid and populate with spectra automatically and in one step.

Double click on the bottom right hand corner of a spectrum in a grid to expand it to full view. Double click in the top left hand corner to minimise it back to grid size.
The magnifying glass icons at the bottom of the screen control the zoom. The + zoom button, when clicked, allows you to draw a box around a region of interest and zoom in. The – zoom button resets the zoom.
