In data analysis 3, we will be looking at energy calibrations.
Have a go at applying different backgrounds to different regions and get used to creating regions around peaks of interest.
In the AgSiO2 example – look for odd peaks in the C 1s and Ag 3d regions. Use the library tools to help you figure out what they are!
For the WS2 example, you’ll be looking to put in separate regions to describe the W 4f vs the W 5p3/2 (since they come so close together). Try playing with the st. offset and end offset to get the Shirley background going through the data!
In the mixed oxide example, think carefully about how you describe the carbon region!
